Launched in 2007, MyRay positioned itself as a brand offering a new degree of comfort in dental imaging, with a claim to being “so simple, so different”. In just under two decades, MyRay has grown exponentially into one of the smartest brands providing a complete range of digital imaging systems, from intraoral cameras to volumetric imaging devices based on CBCT technology.
The name was chosen to underline the brand’s attention to the dental professional who would be using the device – whichever solution it was, it would be the answer to their own personal need, becoming their device that could be referred to as “my” X-ray unit or “my” digital camera. Today, the brand name conserves this aspect and evolves into a range of solutions that brightens the prospects of the dental surgeries that have chosen to adopt MyRay products – a RAY OF SOLUTIONS.
No longer simply different, MyRay unveiled its new identity during IDS 2025, showcasing its full range of diagnostic imaging systems (featuring the new ProXIma X6 mentioned later in this article) and a brand image designed to convey the practical side of innovation and the intuitive functions that support each and every step of diagnosis.
Central element of the renewed graphics is the X-ray beam that guides the user and leads to a precise examination outcome. Acting as if it were a guiding light, that facilitates the clinical procedure, it is far from being a light source that wants to blind the user with science. On the contrary, the whole idea behind MyRay is that of bringing simplicity and immediacy to a dentist’s tasks, making each one essential, yet effective.
Clearly, the brand has inherited its principal purple colour with a palette that incorporates tones of grey and blue as well as a more vibrant fuchsia. These merge into the graphics that are present in communication tools, either as a series of concentric segments that represent the brand’s 360-degree technological offering, or as the ray that adds movement and purpose to the static photographic image of the single product.
The new ProXIma X6
The most recent Professional X-ray Imaging platform has all the ingredients of a MyRay device. A concept that is so flexible that it takes shape around the dental professional, offering configuration opportunities to suit their needs. ProXIma X6 can be installed for 2D, 3D and CEPH imaging, and can be upgraded from standard to full configuration even at a later stage. Built to minimise X-ray emissions while maintaining superb diagnostic quality images, the 3D system adapts the field of view to the patient’s morphology and diagnostic needs.
ProXIma X6 features the new imaging software Neowise, enabling simple, effective image processing for accurate diagnoses, supported by AI-powered features to enhance efficiency and make treatment more personalised for each patient.
Whether ProXIma X6 or any other MyRay solution, the smartest way to discover this brand is to put its ray of solutions to the test.
